8 months out- what I've learnt so far

I'm aware I've barely posted recently, soz guys, Tayo is on the move and keeping me on my toes. Apparently an 8 month old requires A LOT of entertaining and chasing lol. So now he's almost been out as long as he was in, what have I learnt ?

When people used to tell me 'enjoy every minute because time will fly by' I would hear them, but I always thought that they were just saying it for effect. But boy were they right. How on earth is my little teeny newborn EIGHT MONTHS OLD ALREADY (well nearly, on the 24th). Crazy right, I feels like it was just yesterday that I was writing a pregnancy post, thinking I was really tired LOL, thats amusing.

So over these past months, what have I learnt. Well, mainly I've learnt there is no point for a gym membership with a moving child, I don't have a lot of patience (so definitely working on that), never put too much pressure on yourself, I can function on LITTLE sleep, no two child is the same, theres no better sound than your child's laugh and when you finally think you've cracked it something new comes along.

Let me elaborate on that last one. When your child is newborn your getting to know one another. Your figuring out feeding, sleeping, burping, poo colour etc etc, everyday theres something new. Well this doesn't stop there. Once you finally figure out how to feed you child, change them and get them out of the house kind of on time, usually an hour or two late. BAM they change!! Now its time to deal with a little reflux. Then you finally figure out how to deal with that, then herrreee come the teeth. This goes on and on and on, and according to my mum doesn't even stop when they leave home LOL!!! Motherhood is a CONSTANT learning curve, your never at the end and you never stop learning. Its absolutely wonderful, tiring yet wonderful.

I've also cancelled my gym membership, Tayo is crawling, puling to stand and he's QUICK. I can't take my eyes off him for a second. I'm juggling housework, blogging (hence being MIA), modelling and socialising all while running around like a headless chicken after my fearless baby Usain Bolt. So on the plus side the daylight robbery price of a london gym is no more !

Another thing you have to just come to terms with as a parent is that theres no RIGHT way. No two babies are the same. Theres no perfect 'how to raise a child' manual, and even if there was it would work for some and not for others. I think EVERYONE is kind of just winging it and thats ok :)
