Birthday Presents For Boys

Mum life, time and work has run away with me, leaving zero time for blogging. Sorry about that. I'm actually mainly sorry to myself, because this is my outlet and I love chatting with you guys and sharing ideas & recommendations etc. So now corona has hit, Im trying to find time to dedicate weekly to my social platforms. Lets see how I get on lol. Anyway...

Recently quite a few people have messaged me on Instagram asking for boys birthday present ideas. The majority wanted 1st birthday ideas so here is what I brought Tayo or what he was given around that age that he's played with a considerable amount. I really find the key to kids playing well are not too many toys. I try to rotate Tayo's toys when I remember to, but these are the ones he will literally hunt out if I put them away lol.

Grass Hopper Scuttlebug

Probably the most played with toy Tayo owns. I brought it for his 1st birthday from B&M bargains, but here is a link to Amazon with other colour options

Duplo Number Train

Tayo was given this by a friend at his first birthday & he literally LOVES it. Brilliant for them to roll around and pratice hand eye coordination when they're little then as they get older learning to count and build towers. You can buy from here for £16.38

Wooden Train Set

Another brilliant classic toy is the wooden train track and trains. Tayo plays with his everyday , without fail. They're great because you can buy extra bits as they get older to add to the track and make it more complex. My sister brought Tayo the track for christmas when he was 18 months & some have small pieces so always supervise play, but he had a few trains when he was 12 months and he loved pushing them along the floor. Ive linked a few different sets for you as it depends on your aesthetic/price range.

Little Tikes Water Table

Something for outside. Since we don't have a garden & have limited space on our balcony this was an ideal purchase. Great for summer babies, Tayo could play with this for hours. Now he's a little older, we fill with coloured water, and bubbles to make it more interesting & different. I ordered it from Amazon here

Sensory Balls

These can be brought from 0+ but I'm putting them up here because if you don't have them already they're a great little present. I set up baskets and have Tayo throw them in and he loves it

You can check them out here on Amazon

Fisher Price Learn & Laugh Piggy Bank

My mum brought this for Tayo for his 1st birthday. Brilliant for hand eye coordination and learning to count! He still plays with it now and he's almost two. Heres a link for it click here

Stacking Blocks

These are so much fun for babies, before Tayo could stack them we would use them to put toys inside and he just moved toys from one to another. Hours of fun. Now he builds them up, and runs into them knocking them down. We actually got ours from Flying Tiger but I cant find them online so here are some really similar! Click here
