Sleeping 😴

So what I've noticed mainly while being pregnant is I have zero control over anything my body decides to do, and this includes randomly waking up at whatever hour of the night or falling asleep in the middle of the day when all I intended to do was sit down for lunch. Before falling pregnant I never had a problem sleeping, in fact I slept lot, so much I'd call it hibernating. I'm still extremely lucky with the hours I manage to get, but it's not solid 'hibernation' sleep. If I'm not waking up for the fifth time to pee , I'm just waking up for no reason at all, even if I'm still sleepy. I can usually manage to go back to sleep quite easily but this doesn't make it any less annoying. For example, it's 5.14am, and I'm awake, hence why I decided to write this post.

At around week 12, I borrowed my sisters U shape pregnancy pillow, and let me tell you it's made the world of difference even pre-bump. It's more the comfort and support it gives your full body. Its also good to get used to side sleeping early on in pregnancy if, like me, you naturally slept on your front or back pre-pregnancy. I would highly recommend you get one , don't wait ! Hers is from Amazon , just a standard, inexpensive U shaped pillow , and it works just fine ! I also find using the app 'Headspace' REALLY helps me get back to sleep whenever I wake up randomly or can't  fall asleep at night. Usually (for me) it's because I have a thousand things running round my head , and this app really helps you get into a meditative state with a guided audio. I love it. You can download here , and it's free !! https://www.headspace.com

Pregnancy dreams are full out craaaazzzyyyyyy. I don't know why but it's a common thing during pregnancy and honestly they have not disappointed lol. So don't be alarmed if all of a sudden the director of your dreams is going for an oscar in the 'weird and crazy' category.
