Prams & Travel Systems

When it comes to picking a pram / travel system for bubba theres a few things to take into consideration. Firstly, your lifestyle. A women living in the countryside is going to need an all together different style than someone that lives in the city. Make sure you don't buy one for looking pretty over its practicalities for your lifestyle, you don't want to be struggling up the stairs in the tube with a huge, heavy pram. Secondly, know the difference between a travel system and just a standard pram. A travel system is basically 3-in-1, a lay down (from newborn) carry cot, a 6 month + seat and a car seat (or at least as an optional extra) , this means babies car seat can be taken out of the car and clipped straight onto the wheels without having to disturb sleeping bubba, which is not recommended lol. They are generally slightly more expensive, however most include everything you will need to get your little one from A to B, including a car seat. Be sure to check reviews of the car seat prior to buying the system as safety is key. Some prams cam come with adaptors that can be purchased to be attached to certain car seats then to the pram, however some don't accommodate car seats at all. Also, if your buying a standard pram, check that it is suitable for newborns as some don't have a lie flat function. Thirdly, do you like the look of it? Although this isn't the most important thing it will matter to some parents :)

I've chosen the Quinny Zapp Flex Plus sports luxe limited edition. There numerous reasons as to why this system suits my city life, and also suitable for our park walks with the dog. This pram comes with a lay down carrycot (from newborn), a seat (from 6 months) and car seat adaptors allowing you to click your car seat straight onto the wheels without waking baby. Firstly, this carry cot is sooooo lightweight, which is why it is so ideal for city life. Weighing in at only 3kg and with one-hand detach & lift , its easy to carry up the stairs to my top floor apartment keeping my other hand free. The hard shell keeps it strong and safe from the outside, yet its soft and comfortable for baby on the inside. The sun canopy exchanges between the carry cot and the 6+ seat, it also extends with a central zip to give bubba extra protection from sun (if your lucky, UV 50+), wind & rain. The car seat adaptors means the Maxi Cosy Pebble Plus i-size matching car seat can take baby from car to pram without disturbance, perfect, I love that the style and colours match completely. Although the car seat is an additional purchase costing £250. Also included in the system is something that is absolutely necessary when living in the UK, a rain cover!! The 3 step fold makes life pretty easy when travelling around, likewise does the lightweight champagne coloured frame, for a decent size pram the fold is compact, thats always a plus. The chic black, white and champagne colour theme is me all over. Simple yet stylish. The netted accents on the top of the carry cot, back of the 6+ seat and the padding in the car seat give it a spot luxe feel. The champagne frame and detailing adds a little glam, which never goes a miss. This beautiful pram was designed by fashion designer Rachel Zoe, who is herself a mother of two so knows exactly what mummy's want !!

I'm so happy with the travel system and I can't wait to take it on all our adventures! Once baby arrives and I've used it I will be doing a full review!! Stay tuned <3
