I don't know about you but I have a soft spot for ikea. Not only because they sell cool reasonable stuff but there seems to be an endless limit to amazing ikea hacks. There's so much potential to buy a bargain piece and turn it into something unique for your home. So when thinking nursery ideas I thought I'd share my favourite ikea hack ideas ... Enjoy

Spice Rack - Mini Open Wardrobe

Who has not heard of the Ikea BEKVAM spice rack ? Its been hacked into all kinds of things but this has to be the cutest yet and perfect if you haven't got ample wardrobe space. Its basically just the rack, flipped upside down and used as a mini wardrobe for baby/ toddler clothes. They've also used them the right way up as cute shelves. Why not paint them white or in accordance to your nursery colour theme ? Cute!!

Round Ikea Lamp - Cute Night Light

Oh my...when it comes to night lights, this may just be the cutest of all and TOTALLY unique. Its just a basic ikea round lamp that has been painted to give it the cutest makeover ever. What's great about this is that you can paint whatever you like on it or make it completely personal :)

Simple Box Drawers - Cuter Box Drawers

From boring to beautiful. These simple plain box drawers from ikea have been given a new lease of life with these adorable wooden raindrop handles. This hack can be applied to so many things to make them more personal and less generic. 

Dresser - Changing Table

Convert an Ikea dresser into a stylish changing table, cute and practical ! The open shelving is a great place to display books and toys. You can also keep a basket / drawer full of changing essentials. Love this idea

Bar Cart - Nappy Trolly

Keep all your nappy changing essentials organised by turning the classic ikea bar cart into a portable nappy trolly. You can paint the cart to fit perfectly with your nursery decor and its on wheels too so you can move it around easily.
